Small Business Saturday Guide 2020

Ana Cahill • November 25, 2020

Some of the best deals and specials from a few of my favorite small businesses.

In 2019, the average American spent $1050 on holiday gifts and decor.

Imagine if this year, we purchased even half of our Christmas gifts from small businesses. Target isn’t going to miss your $1000, but for a small business, that’s the difference that keeps the lights on, pays their employees, and buys Christmas gifts for their families.

Along with offering a much more unique selection of products, small businesses typically hire locally, keeping your money within the community, and offer a much more personal and caring shopping experience.

Small businesses have always had a special place in my heart, but this year has been especially tough on them, and I've made it a priority to use my little space on the internet to help you find the best deals, gifts and goodies for everyone on your list, while supporting local and small businesses.

I wish I could make a list of every small businesses sale, but below I've listed a few of my favorite small businesses (all that were included in the giveaways + a few extra!) that sell products that would be amazing gifts this year (or treats for yourself), along with the sales each business will be offering!

Last month, me and my girls took a much-needed girls trip to the beach and had the best time laying in the sun, lounging in the hot tub, and eating. (because let's be honest - what else are girls trips for?) We spent just under 72 hours in Miramar Beach, but did our best to hit as many cute shops and delicious restaurants and cafes as we could, so I put together a little guide if you're planning on visiting the area this summer! It's only a 7 hour drive, or hour long flight from Nashville, and legitimately the cleanest beach I have ever seen. If you fly into Pensacola like we did, I'd recommend renting a car for getting to the beach and having more options for getting around. However, we did walk a ton of places and totally could've just gotten a ride from the airport. The ~vibes~ in Miramar are super low-key, making it the perfect place to chill and unwind with your partner or gal pals. 10/10 would recommend. Watch my recap reel here for a quick overview of our trip!
